About me — Elisa Mahlberg

Consultant in gynaecology and obstetrics in Dormagen.

Elisa Mahlberg, Fachärztin für Gynäkologie und Geburtshilfe, Dormagen

My background.

My name is Elisa Mahlberg, born 1989. I grew up in northern Germany, am a mother of two, and have been a board-certified consultant in gynaecology and obstetrics since 2022.

I studied medicine at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg im Breisgau. During my studies I worked at Spital Frutigen (Switzerland), in Hamburg, Konstanz, Berlin, Cologne, and at Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford, England.

I completed my specialist training at Klinikum Itzehoe, Paracelsus Klinik Henstedt-Ulzburg and the Städtische Kliniken Mönchengladbach.

  • since 2022 — consultant in gynaecology and obstetrics
  • 2023 – today — locum doctor in various hospitals — staying continuously close to clinical practice
  • 2023 – 2026 — consultant gynaecologist at the practice Dr. Cigdem Gürel-Ilie & Kollegen in Düsseldorf

I speak German and English. Consultations in English are warmly welcomed.

My areas of focus.

My areas of focus are pregnancy care and preventive screening, the treatment of hormone disorders such as menopausal symptoms and PCOS, and supporting women on their journey to having a child.

My approach is holistic and patient-centred. From my perspective, good women’s medicine begins with listening and a clear, individual placement of the situation.

What matters to me.

Plain language. Shared decisions. And counsel that puts your individual situation at the centre.

I believe that health is more than the absence of illness — and that you, as the patient, are the expert on your own body.

Frequently asked

If you are wondering whether I might be the right fit

I see both statutory and private patients with the same medical care. Statutory services are billed via the Kassenärztliche Vereinigung. Self-pay services (IGeL) and private appointments are discussed transparently before each use.

Of course. Many patients come from Neuss, Cologne, Düsseldorf or the wider Rhein-Kreis area. The practice is easy to reach by car and by train, and for video consultations you do not need to travel at all.

Yes. I am fluent in English and am happy to hold appointments in English. When booking, please let us know briefly that you would like an English-language consultation.

We plan first appointments so that we can talk through everything that matters for your situation. The exact length depends on your questions and the diagnostics needed. For specific topics such as fertility or hormone consultations the history is usually more extensive — please mention it when booking.

We work by appointment. For acute concerns, please call us — we will find a solution together.
